Over 1,700 of 3,400 Indian nationals in Sudan have been evacuated from conflict zones, with the rest to follow. The Indian government's primary concern is to get its citizens out of harm's way as soon as possible. They are being taken to Port Sudan and then transported to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia via military aircraft and warships. Sudan is also home to around 1,000 people of Indian origin, who will be helped to move to safe areas. India will also respond to requests from other countries to evacuate their nationals from Sudan.
