On Sunday, a flight carrying 229 people arrived in Bengaluru from Jeddah under Operation Kaveri to evacuate Indian citizens from conflict zones in Sudan. 125 of the evacuees hailed from Karnataka, where the state government has been closely monitoring the situation in Sudan. Three Facilitation Counters have been opened in airports and KSRTC buses have been arranged from Bengaluru airport to their respective hometowns. According to the Karnataka government, 255 people from the state have returned under Operation Kaveri so far.
