Delhi police will register a case against the chief of the Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Singh, over allegations of sexual abuse by female athletes. The wrestlers had protested against the police's failure to act against Singh, who has denied the allegations. The Indian Olympic Association president accused the wrestlers of tarnishing the country's image, sparking outrage. However, opposition politicians and several sportspersons supported the wrestlers' protests. Vinesh Phogat, a decorated wrestler, had alleged that at least ten women wrestlers had been sexually exploited by Singh, which he denied.
