Ukraine Apologizes for Goddess Kali Tweet.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Emine Dzheppar, apologized on social media for the Ministry of Defence's controversial tweet of an image of Goddess Kali that had caused outrage among Indians on social media. The tweet was later removed. The Minister expressed regret for the distorted depiction and stated that Ukraine respects Indian culture and appreciates support. Indians had lambasted Ukraine for caricaturing the Indian goddess on a propaganda poster and called for an apology. Dzheppar had recently visited India and expressed hope for increased cooperation.
